Jeremiah's 5th Birthday!!

It's hard to believe my baby boy just turned five today!!! Here is a picture of the cake I did for him today. I wish you could taste the buttercream icing!!!

Here is a picture of the ice cream cone cupcakes I did for Chris and Lisie's shower! They were scattered around the Sam's cake on the table and used as decoration too!! I piped little blue baby booties on top of each one!

Here is a cake I did for my cousin, Maria! I was in a hurry when I wrote Zachary's name and I couldn't think on how to write a cursive Z so that's why it's a regular Z. I remembered how to write a cursive Z after the shower was over. Anyways, she loved it!

Can You Find The Cake?

This was my six year old son, Josiah's birthday cake. I used my signature buttercream frosting and air brushed it camouflage. The ice cream cones are filled with cake and buttercream frosting. It was a big hit!

I'm so thankful that I was able to do my mother's own wedding cake. It turned out just the way she wanted. It was my gift to her and Mike (husband). This was a traditional white cake with buttercream frosting.

Things that always look good don't always taste good

Well, this was my first fondant wedding cake I did this past weekend. It really looks elegant but don't let the decorating fool you.......it tastes horrible! Another thing is that it cost alot more than the traditional buttercream frosting.
Now, you may be wandering, "What is Fondant?" Fondant is made up of glycerin, sugar or corn syrup, glucose and a gelatin and is very chewy. It has the consistency of Play-doh.
A cake like this would easily cost $900 at a bakery around Asheville. I would only charge a little over half price ($550).
